Our Mission Statement

To glorify God and help people...

Leading them to Jesus and membership into His family
Worshiping the Lord in Spirit and truth
Ministering and encouraging one another through effective prayer and loving fellowship
Guiding them to Christ-like maturity; and
Equipping them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world

...through the power of the Holy Spirit

Our Purpose Statement

The purpose of our congregation can be summarized in a single statement based on two key Scriptures:

"We believe in a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will grow a Great Church."

1. The Great Commandment:

"Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind. This is the first and greatest commandement. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.'"

2. The Great Commission:

"Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.'"

These two statements (the Great Commandment and the Great Commission) form the basis of everything we do at New Wine.

We see five New Testament purposes for the Church in these two Scriptures:

To "love God with all your heart" is "Worship".
To "love your neighbor as yourself" is "Ministry".
To "go...make disciples" is "Evangelism".
To "baptise" is to "Incorporate Into Fellowship".
To "teach them...all things" is "Discipleship".

New Wine Congregation Exists To:

Celebrate God's Purpose - (Worship)
Demonstrate God's Love - (Ministry)
Communicate God's Word - (Evangelism)
Assimilate God's Family - (Fellowship)
Educate God's People - (Discipleship)
